Music Therapy for Young Children (Ages 1-6)

Tuesday 3:45-4:35

Have you ever seen a toddler dancing to music, bopping to the beat? Have you heard a young child sing a familiar song? All young children can learn to move, talk, play and interact through music. For young children who are meeting their developmental milestones, or children who are receiving early intervention services or school-age services, this group will address areas of early childhood development with music therapy songs and activities. Parent participation is required – This is not a drop off program. Groups will be led by a Board Certified Music Therapist from Roman Music Therapy Services.

Teen Music Therapy (Ages 13-18)

Want to jam with your friends and make some new ones? In this program, group members will write and record original songs for a CD. This group is open to all teens with advanced verbal skills to develop peer relationships though shared musical songwriting experiences. Due to safety ratios, parents must stay on site for the groups but will not be participants. Groups will be led by a Board Certified Music Therapist from Roman Music Therapy Services.
