Summer Concerts for Families
Here is a list of some of my favorite picks for Summer Music Festivals and Concerts that you are sure to enjoy. Your kids will love it and so will you!
Lowell Summer Music Series
Kids Shows
Lots of great free shows here, perfect for a picnic lunch. I took our kids and one of their cousins to a concert here last summer, it was great. They also do free trolley rides after the show.
Payson Park Music Festival
Kids Concerts
Concerts in Belmont on Fridays at noon in July.
Club Passim Summer Stage
Lunchtime Concerts in Harvard Square
Although not kids concerts, it’s a good excuse to head to Harvard Square with a stroller and a picnic lunch. The Thursday lunchtime concerts have already started and continue through mid-September.
Tanglewood for Kids
The Summer Home of the BSO
Children are admitted free to the concerts at Tanglewood with children’s tickets, but did you also know that they have a special Family Concert? This year is Saturday, August 20th at 2:30 in Lenox, MA.

Life is Good Festival
with a Kid Stage on Saturday and Sunday. Featuring once again, The Laurie Berkner Band!
And don’t forget our local Melrose Library Concert Series and North Suburban Family and Child Resource Center Events!
Join family and friends on the library lawn for a special family “Blankets and Baskets” concert series. Families are invited to bring picnic baskets and blankets. In the event of rain the program will be held at the First Congregational Church, 121 West Foster St., Melrose.
The concerts begin at 6 p.m. and feature:
